In 2007 he moved his studios, changing a flat on Carrer Barcelona for smaller facilities in the city center and at the foot of the street. In 2008 it went from analog to digital broadcasting with the advent of DTT, which meant its professionalization and legal coverage. Currently, the channel can make live connections thanks to 4G.
Televisió de Girona is one of the benchmarks in the field of local television. After thirty-five years of broadcasting, the channel offers direct and local programming transmitting all the information related to current events in Girona and its surroundings.

The history of Televisió de Girona begins as one of the initiatives of Kinema Grup, Agrupació Cultural de la Imatge, by the decision of its board in 1985, forming, then, the first Broadcasting Council that would give way to the development technical and human of the pilot emission in the month of October of 1986 on the occasion of the Fairs and Celebrations of Sant Narcís. This group created non-profit, was made up of many people of all ages and conditions interested in the world of image, and who contributed as members with a fee to participate in the activities.
This first experience was carried out with a range of programming as varied as possible, including entertainment, cultural and local spaces, with news included, the only part reserved for live programming. From mid-1985 and much of 1986, Kinema Grup mobilized many enthusiastic people who collaborated in various areas of production such as dance, theater, music, and journalism, apart from a whole technical contingent. to enable the first television studios.
After the first experience, Kinema Grup expands its headquarters to give way to future broadcasts with the intention of giving continuity to Televisió de Girona, with the support of the company Valvi. It was at the end of 1989 that our local television became known with the first program 'Girona, hora zero'.
From 1990, the successive members of the Broadcasting Council were the promoters of the progressive consolidation of the programming of Televisió de Girona, introducing all kinds of content until 1997, the year of the formation of the station as a company, created by Municipal Initiatives and Projects, Kinema Grup, Comercial de Serveis Alimentaris SA, and Joan Roura, Joan Crous, Narcís Matas, Jordi Horno, Joan Soliguer and Josep. I. Avilés.
Since the first constitution, Televisió de Girona has had its changes with the incorporation of Antena Local and the withdrawal of Kinema Grup and its private partners.
From the year 2005, TV Girona is consolidated as the reference television in the local audiovisual market of the Girona counties, under the chairmanship of a single shareholder represented by Mr. Joaquim Vidal i Perpinyà.
