TRANS7, which was originally called TV7, began on March 22, 2000, which was announced in Additional State Gazette Number 8687 of 2001 dated December 28, 2001, as PT Duta Visual Nusantara Tivi Tujuh. On August 4, 2006, the Kompas Gramedia Group established a strategic partnership with CT Corp and since then TV7 changed to TRANS7.
Currently, TRANS7 operates based on Broadcasting License Number 1820 2016 on October 13, 2016, issued by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, as part of the media group under CT Corp.
As many as 40 transmission stations have operated to expand broadcast coverage nationally and are operated by local resources.

With the synergy in the TRANSMEDIA group with TRANS TV, Detikcom, Transvision, CNN Indonesia, CNN Indonesia.com, and the expanding holding business, it is expected to further strengthen the existence of TRANS7 in the face of Indonesia's television business competition map.
